Joinery Operations Manager required in Kent

Our Client, a leading high-end joinery company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke interior joinery for London’s most luxurious residences are looking for an experienced Production Manager in Kent.   

With an innovative approach, resilient mindset and burning desire to impress, our client is constantly progressing and adapting to the bespoke requirements of the customer. A previously deep and ever expanding knowledge of luxury materials, finishes and techniques really drive the company to succeed to an astounding level.

Duties of the Operations Manager:

  • Directly reporting to the Managing Director 
  • Responsible for overseeing all workshop and installation operations, ensuring delivery, standards and budgets are met
  • Management of all project work through workshop through to installation. 
  • Liaison with department managers and Project Managers regarding the status of progression 
  • Quality control of all orders 
  • Ensuring all standards of health and safety are met 
  • Ensuring LOLER and PUWER regulations are met
  • Maintenance of stock levels and workshop inventory 
  • Ensuring material demands are met in line with orders and requirements for completion 
  • Development of operational systems to optimise production and quality 

Requirements of the Operations Manager:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience within a Joinery Senior Manager role 
  • MUST have joinery workshop operations background  
  • Vast knowledge of fabrication and different joinery materials and knowledge of production/finishing techniques, such as timber, boards, veneers and laminating. 
  • The ability to solve technical problems throughout a range of products 
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, alongside commercial awareness and understanding 
  • Confident within IT skills 
  • Management experience and building teams
