Technical Sales Engineer required in Suffolk

  • Salary: Up to £44,000 - £49,000 per annum
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm
  • Term: Full Time, Permanent

Perfect Placement Engineering Recruitment are currently working with a leading Engineering Group in the Norfolk Area. They are currently seeking an Engineering Sales Estimator to join their team.

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Technical Sales Engineer will be working with the wider sales, obtaining new business relationships to increase revenue from sales. Establish and retain business growth opportunities across the company operations. 

The successful Technical Sales Engineer will have:

  • 10 to 15 years welding fabrication/pipework and several years sales experience
  • Strong and recent Technical Sales Engineering experience 
  • The ability to read and interpret P&ID, Structural and Engineering Drawings
  • Excellent Literacy and Numeracy Skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Office programmes
  • The ability to work within a team and strong communication

    Duties within this Technical Sales Engineer role will include:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers
    • Customer contact via all media  
    • Providing quotations using the agreed process and presentation, ensuring that quotes are sent out in good time and are followed up with the potential client
    • Identify new markets and opportunities
    • Research organisations and individuals online
    • Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives
    • Attend sales meetings as required
    • Working to sales targets based on agreed KPI’s
    • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and sales displays.
    • Working with the Sales Director, develop quotes and proposals.
