Electrical Service Engineer – Thetford 

  • Salary around £41,000 including food and drink allowance, plus overtime - OTE £45,000
  • Hours: 40 hours Mon-Fri 8am-5pm (Can be flexible)
  • Working nights away required Mon-Thurs - Company transport to locations, including hotel accommodation.
  • Remote working is an option once fully trained and competent.

Our client, a leading supplier and installer of specialist engineering equipment throughout the UK, is looking for an experienced Electrical Service Engineer. Providing PPM maintenance and LOLER inspections. 

As an Electrical Service Engineer, your responsibilities will be:

  • Carry out service.
  • Electrical analysis on control systems 
  • Fault diagnosis & electrical repairs
  • Electrical Inspection & Testing 
  • LOLER Inspections 
  • Routine PPM 
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out in compliance with relevant statutory legislation
  • Fault diagnosis and maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment.
  • High standard of cleanliness during jobs
  • Support other Service Engineers within the team when required.

Person Specification of the Electrical Service Engineer:

  • Electrical qualifications
  • C&G Inspection and Testing 
  • 18th Edition
  • IPAF and PASMA
  • Experience of LOLER
  • experience with bespoke machinery
  • Machinery installation
  • Machinery commissioning
  • Multi Skilled-Mechanical & Electrical
  • Machine Service & Breakdown
  • Maintenance
  • Fault diagnostics
  • Full Driving licence

The successful Service Engineer will ideally:

  • Flexible and able to stay away for single and occasionally multiple overnights. 
  • Hold a current full driving licence.
  • Live locally to Thetford 
  • Be well organised, self-motivated and have good attention to detail.
  • Enjoy meeting people, be reliable and well-presented.
  • Have excellent Computer Literacy.
