Estimator - Precision Engineering
Due to expansion or client is looking for an experienced estimator to join their busy subcontract workshop. You will be responsible for providing cost estimates to produce components by CNC Milling and Turning.
This is ideally a full-time position, but part-time will be considered for the right candidate.
Estimator Package:
- Salary negotiable depending on level of experience
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays.
- Closed for Christmas week.
- Free on-site parking
- Working with a friendly, forward-thinking and inclusive team
- Flexible working patterns covering Mon-Sat 8am-6pm (FT or PT)
Duties will include:
- Interpret customer requirements from drawings, specifications and models.
- Define process routing and estimate set up & cycle times.
- Obtain prices for any external processes and materials.
- Create quotations for clients within target response time using the companies' software system.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers.
- Liaise with our engineers regarding tooling, fixtures and scheduling.
- Ordering of materials, special tools and gauges.
Estimator person Specification:
- Methodical and organised
- Excellent communication skills - both written & verbal
- Computer literate
- Good eye for detail
- Must be experienced in the reading of drawings in an engineering environment.
- Work well under pressure and to deadlines.
- Be able to update KPI's as necessary.
