Technical Sales Engineer required to work for a leading, high quality precision engineering company - Covering North of England  

Due to company growth, they are now looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join the team.

The successful Technical Sales Engineer will be experienced selling machine parts and services. Ideally a time served production engineer with knowledge of working CNC machines (routers, milling & turning, 5 axis).

You will be responsible for quoting jobs directly to clients, responding to client enquiries, and bringing in new business, increasing the sales volume.

Our client is looking for a proactive individual, able to work independently of their own initiative.

Package for the Successful Technical Sales Engineer:

  • Negotiable 
  • Hours: Monday–Friday (Flexible working hours)
  • Work from home - Covering North of East England  

Overview of the Duties:

  • Successfully procure new business
  • Proactively seek new business by telephone, videoconferencing (Zoom / Teams) to sell products and services
  • Maintain regular contact with existing clients
  • Receive project drawings and provide quotes and pricing over the phone
  • Develop and manage a database of clients
  • Build and maintain relationships through excellent customer service
  • Actively research competitors markets and competitor s product information to understand how to sell against them and protect specifications
  • Follow-up quotations, sales leads, and spot opportunities for marketing

Requirements of the Technical Sales Engineer:

  • Proven background is Technical Sales, selling Machined Parts and Services. 
  • Sound understanding of working CNC machines (routers, milling & turning, 5 axis)
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Ability to give quotes over the phone and face to face  
  • Able to provide excellent customer service
