Ashley CamiesHead of Recruitment Support
I’m Ashley, and I joined Perfect Placement in December 2011. I relocated to Norwich back in 2008 to study a law degree at UEA and quickly fell in love with the area. Upon graduating, I decided to stay in the area, and I secured my job at Perfect Placement.
Upon joining Perfect Placement, initially in a Recruitment Executive role, it became apparent that my strengths lay elsewhere and a Recruitment Support position was created. I began looking after the Admin and Resourcing needs of one of the teams of the Automotive Recruitment Consultants. I enabled the consultants to free up their time to do what they do best – recruiting for the Motor Trade.
Due to my successes, Perfect Placement replicated my role by hiring more support staff, and I soon became the Head of Recruitment Support. A role I have adapted to ensure that the Engineering Recruiters at Perfect Placement recieves the highest level of support.
My team are responsible for handling the incoming calls into the business, maintaining the company database and sourcing new candidates. As a team we also post all of the company vacancies to many job boards, ensuring they are keyword optimised to appear top of the listings.
Alongside this crucial support function, I oversee the accounts department, look after Social Media and can also be found dabbling with Digital Marketing and any other strings I can add to my bow!
If you had asked me a question about the Motor Trade back in 2011, I would have been pretty clueless. Over the years I have built a rather impressive knowledge which has also encompassed other areas of the business. I am well versed in SEO and have also enjoyed a week-long training course on Video Editing and gained the qualification of ACA (Adobe certified associate). I am currently completing a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship (yes at my age!) so I can't wait to put my new-found skills into practice.
In my spare time, I am a huge fan of my home comforts! I can often be found drinking tea (aka wine in a pub!) with my friends, or dog-sitting my favourite pup!
