MIG & TIG Welder / Fabricator

Our client, a very successful and well established manufacturer based near Lowestoft, are looking for MIG & TIG Welder / Fabricators.

Stainless Steel TIG Welder:

  • Up to £15 PH
  • Monday-Friday - DAYS

Mild Steel MIG Welder & Stainless Steel TIG:

  • £12 - £14 PH
  • Monday-Friday - SHIFT (Double Days 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm

Our client's workshop and purpose built offices enable them to provide ISO:9001 approved manufacturing services, including steel, stainless steel and aluminium fabrication, with some of the largest laser cutting and folding capabilities.

Main duties and responsibilities of the Welder / Fabricator:

  • Working on a variety of site and / or workshop based projects
  • Fabrication of structural steel work and sheet metal from drawings
  • Using workshop machineries such as guillotines, saws, rollers, drills, grinder etc.
  • Welding to high standards using TIG & MIG
  • Adhere to project deadlines
  • Maintaining good working relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Adhering to the health & safety policy
  • Ensuring quality targets are met 

Personal specification - Essential

  • Full UK Drivers Licence
  • MIG and TIG Welding: 2 years
  • Basic maths and design skills
  • The ability to read and understand engineering diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Live within a commutable distance of Lowestoft

Personal Specification - Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Oil, Gas, food, drink or energy industry
  • Problem solving skills
  • Forklift Ticket
  • CSCS Card preferred not essential
