You too have the chance to climb the metaphorical career ladder, this will take determination and commitment to working hard. This is proven to be very fulfilling and substantially rewarding for your general life style and mental health.

By identifying and adhering to your goals for development is important because you can then imagine a realistic vision for your achievements. Be sure to track your progression to keep motivated through difficult or hard times.

First things first, give yourself time. Extending your goals, and delaying your progression can be damaging to your determination to succeed. It is easy to say a task can wait until tomorrow, but dedicating some time to figure at what you want to do and how to get there will help upon reflection.

Take it step by step – Break your end result into smaller obtainable objectives, this will be more manageable and feel more accomplishable by having a structured plan. Although they may seem like small steps, you are actually working towards the end result. If you are planning to get to a senior project manager role, think about the qualifications that are required. Start to prepare your CV in association to the job postings that are in your area.

Pace yourself – Without a set routine you may feel as though your goals are harder to achieve. Don’t lose your determination or passion by not setting a specific time frame for each anticipated achievement. Deadlines instil a sense of urgency, pushing the goal to be achieved at a faster rate.

Feedback time – Review and retrace each accomplishment and keep track of your progress. Celebrate every accomplishment no matter how big or small!
