As a Mechanical Design Engineer, the role will entail developing technical plans based on research ideas, designing products based on the requirements of the company, and carrying out surveys on equipment and various mechanical systems. 

Some more responsibilities are presenting design plans to Managers and clients, conducting product testing, collaborating with project managers, and developing accurate accounting of all engineering hours required for various types of internal projects. 

Some requirements as a Mechanical Design Engineer are; they must have work experience related to the industry, they must have a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and they must have 4-5 GCSE’s. 

The role of a Mechanical Design Engineer allows progressing further to be a Mechanical Engineer Administrator or Manager after gaining work experience as you can see the options are very good and offers supervising, giving orders, and more.

Generally, they work 40hrs/Week for 8 hours a day. Salaries range between £35,000-£42,500 per annum depending on experience.
