As a Project Manager, there are many responsibilities your main tasks are; initiating the project while checking feasibility and working out the budgets, carrying out planning which will include setting goals and objectives, defining roles, and producing schedules and timelines.

A few extra responsibilities are to pick, lead and motivate your team, identify risks to ensure delivery is on time, and lastly close the project which includes evaluating the success of the project and learning for the next project. 

Some requirements for this role are; excellent organisation skills, meeting deadlines, strong interpersonal skills to motivate and lead your project team, and good communication and negotiation skills. Some qualifications needed are a degree in Business or Project Management as well as some experience in the industry. 

The role of a Project Manager offers many different pathways such as a Senior Project Manager, Director, Management consultant, Programme Manager, and Portfolio Manager. If any of these roles interest, you this could be the path for you. 

Typically, this role requires 40hrs/Week this may also offer overtime if needed. Salaries range between £20,000-£55,000 per annum depending on experience.
