As a Commissioning Engineer, you are responsible for many things such as; reviewing the project technical documentation and the contractual requirements, they also define commissioning work packages and preparing the relevant procedures, as well as supervising commissioning field activities. Lastly, they ensure the safe execution of all commissioning activities through the application of the work permit procedure. 

Some requirements and skills come under the following; Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, technical physics or process technology, you need at least 5 years of experience in maintenance, test or service roles within the oil and gas industry. Some personal skills involve excellent interpersonal skills, proactive team player and a strong independent character. 

In this role, there is only one you can work with which is a senior commissioning engineer which is going to have a competition but it’s possible.

Usually, the commissioning engineer role requires 35-40hrs/Week and offers overtime if needed. Salaries range from £30,000-£50,000 depending on experience.
