As a CAD Design Engineer, there are many responsibilities including; using software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs for complex projects. Collaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets, as well as solve problems. Ability to analyse data and situations and come up with creative solutions. 

Some skills and requirements needed for a CAD Design Engineer are the following; an associate’s degree or equivalent experience, use of hands to operate computers, extensive knowledge of the company’s preferred software, strong communication, ability to collaborate with others and travel may be required.

Generally, a CAD Design Engineer works a total of 37-40hrs/Week as well as offers overtime if needed. Salaries range between £35,000-£45,000 per annum depending on experience.
